Another European film screening: the film “II” by Vlada Senkova will be shown at the International Festival of Eastern European Cinema in Cottbus, which will be held from 8 to 13 December 2020.
The Cottbus Film Festival is one of the most famous festivals in Germany and Europe. Every year it presents a program, which tells stories about life in Central and Eastern Europe. This year the list includes the name of Vlada Senkova and her film “II”. The show in Cottbus will take place on December 11, 2020 in the “Spectrum” section, which brings together 13 different genres of film discoveries. In previous years, Vlada Senkova’s films “The Count in Oranges” and the short film “From a great height” were shown at the Cottbus festival.
Since the premiere of the film in October 2019 at the Warsaw International Film Festival, where it received a Special Jury Mention, the film was successfully screened in Belarus, participated in many European film festivals, and this year it was shown for the first time in Russia in an offline format and in all major Russian online cinemas.
The festival history of the film has 8 screenings in various sections of prestigious film forums. In 2019, in addition to the Warsaw Film Festival, the screening took place in Belarus at the festivals “Listapad” and “Human Dignity, Equality, Justice”. In 2020 the film was presented at the festival “Bridges. East of West Film Days”, which is organized by the Belgian cultural center Bozar, which is a bridge between Eastern and Western Europe and focuses on the cinema of the Eastern Partnership countries.
The film was also shown at the largest and oldest film forum for children and young people in Zlín (Czech Republic), as well as at the Central and Eastern Europe festival “CinEast” (Luxembourg) and the Polish festival “UKRAINA!”, which presented films, music and contemporary art of Ukraine and neighboring countries. At the largest film forum in Scandinavia – the festival in Gothenburg – the film “II” was shown 4 times and was highly appreciated by the audience and professionals.
Now the film is available for viewing in the online cinemas “Kinopoisk HD”, OKKO, Ivi, Start, MegaLabs, Wink, Beeline.TV, Premier, Dom.ru, Kino.1tv.ru, Smotri.mail.ru, Nonfiction.film, Aikino!, Voka TV, iTunes, Google Play and others.
