TheatreHD in Belarus
Theatre, opera and ballet on the big screen. Live broadcasting and screenings in the original language with Russian subtitles.

New technologies of shooting and displaying gave the opportunity to a completely new product
to be born and develop – film screenings of theatre productions in HD format.
Metropolitan Opera was a pioneer in this direction in 2006.

Thanks to multicamera filming spectators have an opportunity to enjoy close-ups, perfect sound and familiarize themselves with theatre life during the intermissions.

The critics and the public unanimously agree that TheatreHD can be considered to be a new kind of theatre with a new perspective of the space.

TheatreHD is the broadcasting of the most famous theatre productions from the best theatres in the world such as Royal National Theatre (London), Shakespeare’s Globe (London), Royal Shakespeare Company (Stratford-upon-Avon), Metropolitan Opera (New York), La Comédie Française (Paris), the Bolshoi Theatre (Moscow) and others.

In this project spectators can see the following celebrities: Benedict Cumberbatch, Ralph Fiennes, Helen Mirren, Stephen Fry, Mark Strong, Christopher Plummer, Tom Hiddleston, Jonas Kaufmann, Gillian Anderson, Anna Netrebko, Ildar Abdrazakov, Svetlana Zakharova, Vladislav Lantratov and many others.

In Belarus the project started in 2015 – at first in Minsk, then in other regions of Belarus. In 2020 screenings took place in 10 cinemas in Minsk, Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Gorodok, Grodno.

Documentaries about art on the big screen of cinemas

#ArtInCinemas – provides a unique opportunity to see best documentaries about renowned artists and art movements; to visit loudest exhibitions of the past decade, where the masterpieces of Vincent van Gogh, Vermeer, Leonardo da Vinci, Francisco Goya, Claude Monet, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Renoir, Bosch are presented.

The close-ups and HD-filming give viewers the effect of personally being before great paintings in museums anywhere in the world.

Best from the Russian theatre in HD on the big screens of cinemas around the world.

It is a new project, which we have started to work with since 2020.
This project represents the screening of performance recordings, created by the best theatre companies in Russia.

Among the theatre companies which participate in this project are Vakhtangov Theatre (Moscow), Moscow operetta theatre (Moscow), Red Torch Theatre (Novosibirsk), Satyricon Theatre (Moscow), Theatre Art Studio (Moscow), Stanislavsky Electrotheatre (Moscow), Moscow Young Generation Theatre (Moscow) and others.
