Shining brighter than any light on the stage, now the group invite us behind the spotlight. On the day following the final concert of their Europe tour, on a rooftop in Paris, BTS tells their very own stories from experiencing new cities to performing in front of thousands of ARMY across the globe. A glimpse into BTS’ world away from the stage, featuring intimate group discussions alongside spectacular concert performances from the tour, this is a cinema event not to be missed.
The BTS band was formed in 2013, and with the release of the album 2 Cool 4 Skool, the artists received unprecedented international recognition. At the end of the year, BTS was recognized with several New Artist of the Year awards, including the 5th Melon Music Awards, 28th Golden Disc Awards and the 23rd Seoul Music Awards. In 2017, BTS became one of the leading Korean bands on the world music scene. The band consists of 7 members: RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. The group’s name, BTS, stands for the Korean expression Bangtan Sonyeondan, literally meaning “Bulletproof Boy Scouts”. In July 2017, BTS announced that their name would also stand for “Beyond the Scene” as part of their new brand identity.
On April 12, BTS released the new album Map of the Soul: Persona, which marked the beginning of a new era after the end of Love Yourself. On April 27, the album became number one on the US chart, which was the band’s third career chart topper in just 11 months. This is the first such case among all the bands for many years (previously, only the Beatles and The Monkees managed to achieve this result).
