The last week of winter will delight you with the distribution of the most anticipated films. On February 25, the sensation of the Yakut cinema “Scarecrow” and the comedy “Direktøren for det hele” by Lars von Trier will be released on the big screens. The documentary work about pop star Billie Eilish and her debut album will be released on February 26. And on February 27, the continuation of the beloved by many stories about the good-natured polar bear – “Norm of the North: Family Vacation” will be presented.
Lars von Trier’s film “Direktøren for det hele” is being released at the Pioner, Falcon Club Cinema Boutique (from February 25 to March 3) and Silver Screen Galileo (from February 25 to March 10). Trier, who has already managed to shoot a musical, thriller, horror, melodrama, took up a completely unexpected genre of comedy. The film will surprise even those who are well acquainted with the work of the Danish director.

A surprise for Billie Eilish fans: a film by renowned documentary filmmaker R.J. Cutler about the behind-the-scenes process of making her debut studio album and touring will be shown from February 26 to 28 at the Tsentralnyi cinema and Falcon Club Cinema Boutique. “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry” is the story of moving into adulthood of the most popular contemporary pop singer. Also, viewers will learn facts about the singer’s childhood, relationships with family and life off stage. The film features touching footage from the Billie Eilish family archive, as well as key ones on the road to fame.

The sensational film “Scarecrow” by Dmitry Davydov will be shown at Falcon Club Cinema Boutique from February 25 to March 3. The Yakut horror drama tells about a healer and a hermit who is avoided by local residents. Her gift is a curse, but a dark secret hidden in the past makes her help people again and again. “Scarecrow” became the triumphant of “Kinotavr” -2020, for the first time presenting Yakut cinematography in the national competition and being awarded the main prize. The film also received the Daniil Dondurei Prize of the Guild of Historians of Cinema and Film Critics of Russia, and the main actress Valentina Romanova-Chyskyyray received a prize in the category “Best Actress”.

The character of the popular animated series “Norm of the North”, the friendly Arctic bear king Norm returns to the screens. All weekend from February 27 to March 31 at the Raketa cinema we are watching the continuation of the animated blockbuster for the whole family in the best Hollywood traditions. The fourth part of the adventure cartoon “Norm of the North: Family Vacation” tells about Norm’s pursuit of the kidnapper of his crown. The ruler of the Arctic wants to spend time with his family, but is forced to follow the attacker. Norm takes all the household with him in order to fulfill a secret mission under the guise of an exciting vacation, and at the same time to spend time with his beloved family.
