Film “The Father” won two Oscars

Florian Zeller and Christopher Hampton received Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay for the film “The Father”. The film was based on the play of the same name by Florian Zeller, for whom the film also became the director’s debut.

Actor Anthony Hopkins, who played the lead role in the film, won an Oscar for Best Actor. The award was the second in his career. Hopkins traditionally did not attend the ceremony.
