At the meetings, we flip through the “files” of films, – from drafts of scripts to artistic councils protocols, from reviews of critics to public appeals; we will remember, find out, try to understand and form our own idea of the conditions in which the author’s documentary film was created.

What has marked the 21st century, what has changed in the destinies of artists and how have the aspirations of the artists themselves changed? Has the de jure independence brought the acquisition of a true national community? Perhaps the answers to these questions are still ahead, but for now… let’s look back. Consider the history of the creation of particular films, the brightest, most talented, which made up, albeit modest on a global scale, but still the glory of the Belarusian cinema.
